She served as captain of both the 2012 and 2016 U.S. Olympic women's gymnastics teams. She was awarded a gold medal in team competition at the 2016 Olympics. Gabby Douglas, her teammate, also took home gold. Raisman received silver medals in the all-around individual and floor exercise. Raisman also earned silver medals in the individual all-around , as well as in floor exercise. She also is two-time champion of the national team on floor exercise (2012 in 2012 and 2015) as well as the 2012 champion of the national team on the balance beam and five times medalist in the all-around section at the national championships (silver in 2016, bronze in 2010, 2011, 2012, and in 2015). She was inducted into the International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame (2013).
