Farrah Fawcett, an American actress, artist and model who is best known for playing the role of the 'The Apostle'. She was nominated at least six times in the Golden Globe Award and four times for the Emmy Award. She was born in Corpus Christi, Texas, she started her acting career in commercials. In addition, she has appeared in TV series including I Dream of Jeannie and The Flying Nun. The first time she appeared in film was her role with a small role in The French movie Love is a Funny Thing. Her name was recognized worldwide for her red swimsuit pin-up, that became the most popular poster in history. Her roles in some of the most the most popular TV and film shows helped her establish herself as an industry sex-symbol. Her popularity was reflected in her performance as a private investigation officer in the drama-drama series "Charlie's Angels". The show featured the exploits of three women working in an agency for private detectives located in Los Angeles. In addition to playing roles that were glamorous as well, she was also known to play dramatic roles including the one of a battered wife from the TV movie, 'The Burning bed.' She was ranked at 26th in TV Guide's "50 greatest TV stars of All-Time'. The actress was diagnosed with anal cancer in the age of 59 and she passed away three years later.
