Awkwafina

Awkwafina the American performer and actress, started with funny raps, which dealt with the racial and sexual identities of people. In the years before she stepped to Hollywood her music, she came out with several rap tracks. Nora Lum, born in Forest Hills Queens to Chinese and Korean immigrants, was her very first musical exposure. She was a trumpet player. Her classical, jazz and hip-hop studies began when she was just a teenager. At college, she was studying the field of women's studies and journalism. In addition, she spent an hour studying Mandarin while in Beijing. Following graduation, she decided to pursue music as her main focus. Her track My Vag, a response track to Mickey Avalon's My Dick gained viral popularity on the Internet in 2012. It eventually made it on her first album Yellow Ranger released in 2014. Other viral hits included the queef track, and the witty NYC Bitchecity tour. The latter track was linked into another venture Awkwafina's NYC guide to traveling published in the year 2015. A musician and an author were as her credentials, she decided to focus on becoming the role of a third-party actor. Along with early series like Girl Code, Tawk and Bad Rap she also appeared in films such as Neighbors in Storks. In 2018 she landed breakthrough role in a few notable films, including Dude Ocean's 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. The EP was released in June.
